I have HD install of knoppix and i want to install Ut2004 but i get this error when starting it

I installed UT2003 demo fine but then when i ran it the textrures ran across the screen and was all dis collored and then it would crash.
So i reallized i have not installed my radeon drivers so i got the .run package from ATI and installed it using the debian installer.
And now niether demo will run.
it brings up the loader image saying it is the demo and then will flash a black screen and then die.
Any ideas
