Machine similar to this http://www.pcpro.co.uk/buyer/security/reviews/5214/viglen-homepro-pii-400.html though with 128MB RAM and different modem.
Knoppix recognises sound card and names it, selects and names driver, but then reports error configuring sound. sndconfig when knoppix has started also fails. Attempt to start sound system eventually reports that it will run the sound to a null output device.
This is an old machine, March 1999, still with the original sound card which works with Windows 98. Suggestions??
