Booting from USB?

THis may have been covered in here and I have searched high and low to find it so I am sorry if it was covered... I just couldn't see it. I have a 1GB USB Flash Memory stick. Is it possible install Knoppix CD version to a 1GB USB Memory stick and boot from it? Anyone had success with this?
