thats it and the hd disc is a seagate st33232a configured as master on ide channel 2 with a dvd drive as slave.
As I could not find a clean exit from knoppix and had to exit by reset or power off win98se shutdown appears damaged and hangs.
If you have any info that would help me fix this it would be appreciated.
btw I start knoppix with knoppix lang=us knoppix screen=800x600 knoppix xhrefresh=40
(old monitor wont handle more than ~40 kHz)
