Greetings All:
I am trying to get a second Linux box running in my home net using a Linksys WUSB11 Wireless Adapter w Knoppix 4.0 [already have Knoppix 4.0 using a conventional ethernet card/cable talking to my Linksys Wireless/Wired Router working out of the box].
Knoppix 4.0 recognizes the Linksys WUSB11 Wireless adapter because
lsusb -v command reports:
Bus 001 Device 002 ID 077b:2219 Linksys WUSB11 V2.6 802.11b Adapter
but ifconfig -a reports:
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
. . . .
sit0 Link encap: IPv6-in-IPv4
. . . .
i.e. no usb network interface configured
Question is: What are the steps to create a network interface to the Linksys WUSB11 that Knoppix is clearly recognizing but not configuring at bootup?
TIA,
Jim
