how to install screen saver slideshow setup

i have installed and upgraded knoppix 3.8 runs well
i am not able to setup any screensaver
what program i should install to make screensaver slideshow from a jpg pictures folder?
the default is blank screen or color setup button does just enables the selected blankscreen or color screen
otherwise the installation goes nice performance.

Try xscreensaver and kdeartwork. That should get slideshow and most of the other basic ones.

yes installing kdeartwork made the screensaver setup work correct.
