knoppix boot up problem

:cry: can anyone help please, i downloaded knoppix 4.02 and have made an iso boot cd, when I insert cd and reboot it it keeps hanging on an A prompt, is there some thing missing on my system, or cd, or am i doing something wrong

You're doing something wrong. You may even be doing many things wrong, but the above makes it clear that you are not reading and following the steps in the Downloading faq. Follow the Documentation link near the top of this page and read the Downloading faq in the wiki, it should answer all of your questions.

The A: indicates a CD made with the "make a bootable cd" in nero, no need to do that, just burn it lika an image.
