Just installed Debian, when I restart the computer it loads Grub, then promptly hangs with error 21.

Why did this happen, and what can I do to fix it?

Which Kernel should I install, I chose the bottom one which was already selected.

(I am trying to set up a dual boot with XP and Debian)

Thanks!

This google search lists people with the same problem and some possible solutions. (http://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial_s&hl=en&q=grub+error+21&btnG=Google+Search)

Cheers, that's exactly what I did after posting this... (Why not before, I don't know!)

It was because my BIOS couldn't see my new drive.

For some reason, GRUB hasn't worked on certain hard drives of mine. Give lilo a try.
