Booting live cd pblm

In my friends computer when i boot from knoppix livecd all goes well but when kdm starts the screen is automatically off and no response thereafter.What could be the pblm??

It might be that Knoppix is not quite using the right scan rates and your monitor is shutting down when it gets a video signal that it can't display. You might want to try forcing some display parameters that you know your monitor will deal with. Of if you are like many of us and have other monitors available try a different monitor. See the cheat codes section of the wiki for codes that will let you change these settings from whatever they have defaulted to.

Of course, it might be something else. I'm assuming that you did a md5 check and followed the other info for burning properly.
