Hi there,

first of all: yes, I DID use the search function and I thought it had helped ... but not completely.

I'm running Knoppix (Live CD) 3.7 on a notebook (by the way: NEVER buy a Gericom Notebook!)
I want to connect to a D-Link DI-624 Router ( IP 192.168.0.1 ) which has an established connection to the Internet.
A Desktop-Computer ( IP 192.168.0.100 ) is also connected to the router and has access to the internet.

Trying to receive an IP-Address for eth0 via DHCP fails (DHCP is enabled on Router, Desktop received 192.168.0.100)

used netcardconfig to set
eth0
IP-Address: 192.168.0.101
Network-Mask: 255.255.255.0
Broadcast-Address: 192.168.0.255
Default-Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Nameserver: 192.168.0.1 (DNS Relay on Router is activated)

Looks fine so far ... but no connect to Internet ... no connect to Router, nor via Browser, neither via PING
PING simply does nothing when I hit enter. No timeout, no "not reachable" ...

What am I doing wrong?!
