Motif installation - libXm.so.3 needed instead of libXm.so.2

Hello

I am installating a program to the KNOPPIX4.0.2DVD (UnionFS / persistent home) which uses Motif.


locate libXm.so

gives

libXm.so.2

whereas the program needs libXm.so.3.

Does anybody have a pointer to an installation instruction or directly some hints?
