Saving application settings on the livecd?

Hi;

Is there anyway to save application settings on the livecd ( or some other removable media ) so I can take a customized knoppix setup with me to whatever computer I go to?

Not on a CD-R or DVD, try usb flash drive, floppy or removable mountable drive.
