Hello all,
well, im working on a problem a few hours now and im about to just screw everything :p
situation:
i got an old compaq notebook that i want to reinstall...im planing on using gentoo.
but: the dvd drive is broken, i cant activate any boot from lan or usb in the bios...
so i got a floppy from rom-o-matic.net and prepared pxe floppy to be able to use boot from lan...worked fine so far.
i stuffed a knoppix cd (v. 402) in my other computer, booted it up and started the knoppix-terminal-server
the notebook connects and then gives me that wonderful message:
boot:
Loading vmlinuz ..............................
could not find ramdisk image: miniroot.gz
boot:
Could not find kernel image: vmlinuz
im open to any ideas except for throwing the notebook out of the window, although im not to far away from that right now :)
