Video Problems on Boot - v 3.8.2 Live CD

Hi, All,

After booting from the live CD, when Knoppix switched from text mode to graphics, the video is totally scrambled. It's like the video signal is completely out of sync.

I'm DL'ing 4.0.2 to see if this has been fixed, but if there is a resolution for 3.8.2, I'm all ears (eyes?) :-)

When booting, I see that it is detecting my 82810 chipset. It also says using xfree86(i810).

Any help is appreciated. Happy holidays to all!

Perhaps the monitor is causing problems? What type and make of monitor are you using?
If you continue to have problems try using the cheatcode 'knoppix xmodule=fbdev'
If that doesn't work switch to a terminal <alt><ctrl><F2> and type 'su startx' <return>
then copy and paste the output you get from that command to the thread.
