AMD 3500+ (Roughly 2.2 GHz)
192 RAM (512 total 256 taken up by video, dont know about the other part...its a compaq =(

How about a laptop with a dead (primary)cd drive

Da Cider:

I am studying the possibility of copyng the entire CD on a flash card and use it in the PCMCIA port of my old laptop(using a CF to PCMCIA adapter), and telling the BIOS to boot first from there. It is easier said than done, but worth a try as son as I get a CF card big enough. If your laptop has a USB port, and the BIOS allows to boot from there, use a jump drive to try it out! It could work, it could not, but it is worth a try!
