Installing Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 3B Mini PCI on KNOPPIX3.9

:cry: Can anyone help...im a newbie trying to install a Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 3B Mini PCI with a knoppix 3.9 live cd, i have read somewhere that it works fine with Intel ipw2100 driver but i dont know how to compile it/install...Do i need to install the live cd on the hd first? Could i resolve this with a ngage with 256mg card (its working) since i need to have some hd space to write files? Please help me...

if you are running from live cd the 2100 card should be automatically detected and to configure the networl this what you have to do

fire up the terminal
$su
now as root
#wlcardconfig
enter all the details like ur essid, channel, network WPA key and things which u are not sure of just leave them as it is
#pump -i eth0
u may need to replace eth0 according to your settings
