View Full Version : Booting problems with extern SCSI-CDROM drive

Hello,
I got a problem with booting KNOPPIX 4.0 from an extern SCSI-CDROM drive (Yamah CRW4416S CD/CD-RW).

Computer:
Compaq ProLiant ML370 2x933MHz PIII
2304 MB RAM
Onboard Compaq SCSI Controller

Problem:
Durning the boot process form the SCSI-CDROM drive the boot process stops after

Scanning for USB/Firewire divices....Done by:

Can't find KNOPPIX filesystem, sorry.
Dropping you to a (very limited) shell.
Press reset botton to quit.
The same CD works in the same Computer, when I put it in a IDE-CDROM drive.
tryed with knoppix nousb noapic noapm acpi=off and failsafe

What can I do??
