Hello,

When i chroot into my new knoppix for remastering, the hostname doesnt change (offcourse). To make it a little easier to tell the difference between my 'normal' knoppix en de chrooted one, i want to change the hostname.
I did this by changen the /etc/hostname file in my chrooted environment. After exiting en logging back on, nothing is changed (although my /etc/hostname file is different...).
The command 'hostname xxx' gives the same result.

Is there any other file i should change, or im i simply forgetting something?

Many thanks in advance!

Alternatively you could modify your bash profile. I use a specific colour scheme for my remasters, which is different to the remastering enviroment. When I chroot in to the remaster, the new bash profile comes with it and I have a different colour for the prompt.
