Where from download Linux applications?

If I want to install any other 3rd party applications (not already in Knoppix DVD) - where from I can download them?

Will any application meant for other linux distro (eg. Red Hat/SuSE/Ubuntu etc.) will install in Knoppix?

most .deb should work to some extent. if you try it on a live CD i suggesyt Klik instead (search forum)
