Finally, Dreamweaver MX runs flawless on Knoppix! I have installed it (HD-Install, but a large enough persistent home should also do) using the Crossover Office 2.0 trial from www.codeweavers.com
This can be the new *killer application* ;-)
I did the following:
* Installed the free Crossover Office 2.0 demo
* Installed Arial
* Installed DCOM95
* Installed MDAC 2.6 (downloaded from Microsoft, otherwise DW crashes)
* Installed Internet Explorer 6 (don't know if neccessary - but doesn't hurt)
* Installed Dreamweaver MX
* Started Dreamweaver MX from working directory (cd /home/knoppix/.cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/Program\ Files/Macromedia/Dreamweaver\ MX; /opt/cxoffice/bin/wine Dreamweaver.exe $* )
WORKS PERFECT!!! The color picker and the site window also work! So does PHP and mySQL integration! Finally, everything perfect. I can't believe it :-)
