Hi.

I'm very new, obviously, but i am just looking for a manual that i can 'rtfm' if someone can point me in the right direction....

I have an agere Orinoco Gold pcmcia (purple/gold label, big chunky square arial with ext connector, im sure it's a classic gold) card which i want to use with knoppix 4.0.2 but knoppix does not seem to pick it up, as in, if i try and of the wlan config tools it says no card was found.
I also have a copy of the Auditor Security Suite which i believe is based on Knoppix. This DOES pick up the card and it works straight away, no problems.

I've looked here: http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Wireless_Networking
And it doesn't seem very helpful.... i like this bit

"
General Information On Wireless Card Setup Under Knoppix
This is a stub for this section, to be added shortly
"

Any pointers?

Cheers

It's probably that the current version of Knoppix does not have the driver for the card. Auditor has a lot more WiFi drivers in it because of the nature of the distro. If you can tell us what chipset the card uses, maybe we'd be a little better off...
