knoppix password

When you insert the disk and load the system it will automatically log in, but does that account have a password?

Is there a root password without setting it, as in opening the "knoppix" botton and than "root shell"? Does that root shell have a password?

I know how to set a password but was wondering what happened if I didn't and just leave it the way it is?!

knoppix & root, when booting off the Live CD, do not have any passwords... if you never change them, then, they are still NULL ( i.e. nothing, zip, nada, empty, etc... )
