Hi everyone,

I'm running knoppix dvd live 4.0

It's great........but..........I cant seem to get any sound!

I've got 2 soundcards, one soundmax intergrated audio, other creative soundblaster live 24bit

When knoppix is starting and loading devices, it finds the 1st of my soundcards, but no sound once when it loaded it :(

I tried the sound configuration utility and this is what it says :

ERROR : No Sound Modules Found

You don't seem to be running a kernel with modular sound enabled.
(soundcore.0 was not found in the module search path).
To use sndconfig, you must be running a kernel with modular
sound, such as the kernal shipped with Debian GNU/Linux or a 2.2
kernel and sound must be compiled as modules.

Any help much appreciated

Cheers, Bex..xx

seem like no sound driver is loaded.
try booting with alsa cheat code then once booted type alsaconf in console.
i'm not on my linux box right now but nonetheless try the above command and see if it has found your sound card.
