I read it at the time you posted it is subject to export restrictions and it is not relesased under the GPL.

In case you have never noticed there are non-us repositories for software to avoid just exactly such export restrictions and the source code is available.

I think that export act is the same one that ssh is governed by, ie you can't ship it to Cuba, Iran, North korea. Any software made in the states has the same restrictions, and I can gaurentee that knoppix includes software made in the states.

2.1. DEMO VERSION LICENSE.
You may distribute copies of the demo version of the Software freely to other users, provided that any copy must contain the original, unaltered files and proprietary notices. You have the ability to register the demo version at any time by purchasing the full version from BraveTree.

7. DISTRIBUTION.
BraveTree allows and encourages all web sites, on-line services, shareware disk vendors, CD-ROM vendors, bulletin board systems, and end-users to freely distribute the demo version of this Software. If you wish to distribute the Software, you may obtain the most recent version from www.garagegames.com. It is generally not necessary to contact BraveTree for authorization, and you may begin offering the demo version immediately.

Thank you for using this Software in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

So it could be included with knoppix.

If that will happen or not is another story. Including it would mostly benifit the game company as it's a demo. Also it requires a hard core graphics card. Maybe good for the Morphix game edition.
