knoppix won't boot.

When I put in knoppix everything seems to be loading just fine on my Vaio. But at the end of the bootup screen I get this message:

Please stand by a few seconds while the optimal configuration
is being determined.

After this session terminates, the system will automatically shut down.


Then knoppix doesn't load. It goes to a balck screen with some distorted colors here and there. What can i do? thanks.

read the cheat code wiki (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes), specifically the section entitled Tips & Tricks and follow the instructions there. Also, answers will be more forthcoming from the more experienced users here if you say things like what particular version of knoppix you are running, and more information about your Viao.
