View Full Version : dpkg error after apt-get - kdesktop 4:3.4.1-1

HI all,
i have little problem, i run "$ apt-get install kdewebdev " and download 246 MB of archives(little update) and when installing i receive this error:

(Reading database ... 100040 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace kdesktop 4:3.4.1-1 (using .../kdesktop_4%3a3.5.1-1_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement kdesktop ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/kdesktop_4%3a3.5.1-1_i386.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/bin/kdesktop_lock', which is also in package kdelock-knoppix

how i can remove this problem or skip this packet if this is posible

what version of knoppix are you using? and also I believe based on what I haver read throughout these forums that knoppix tends to break after an hd-install, but more help will be forthcoming if you provide a version number of the OS you are using.
