hi guys, just want to ask where can i get the knoppix installer cd? i only have the Live cd and i find it very nice and i want to install it to my pc.

Start with answer #2 (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/User:Harry_Kuhman).

If you have read the above, I suggest this special version of Knoppix actually intended for install on a hard disk (http://www.debian.org/intro/about). There are many way of installing it and even special versions for 64 bit CPU and other processor families, but here is a link to an ISO for the same processors that the Knoppix Live CD runs on (http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/daily/arch-latest/i386/iso-cd/debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso).

By the way, also see #7 (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/User:Harry_Kuhman). I was multi-tasking and not really paying attention, or I would not have even given the above advice with your subject line. And you might even try posting in the proper forum, we have a forum dedicated to hard disk installs, in what way would you think your post is better suited here than there?

It's not always obvious what the best forum is, as there is a lot of crossover. But this one does clearly fit better in the hdd install forum. More importantly, the subject line should be something helpful to others, not just a claim of being new to linux and/or a plea for help. It would be helpful if you used the little edit link in the top right of your first post to change the sybject line to something that reflects the topic.
