Mouse issues

I am running 4.02 on a Toshiba 2595CDT with 192 mg ram and a 10 gb HD. System boots fine runs great except that it doesnt detect the optical mouse plugged into the PS2 port. I can still use the system running the laptops little pointer, but frankly that sucks. Would appreciate any assistance in getting my mouse up and running.

You might try various cheatcodes during the boot process. Some laptops have a bios flaw/issue that seems to be resolved by the cheatcode pci=irqmask=0x0e98. for more information, try the "Documentation" link at the top of the page and look for cheatcodes, or look here: http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes
