quick question about trackpads

whenever i use knoppix on my laptop, it always enables trckpad clicking. meaning if i touch the trackpad without moving the mouse around, it will click. this is extremely annoying, i have looked at all the settings, and i can't find a way to disable this. could someone pleae help?

Is there a setting in the bios to disable the touchpad? You can disable it and use an external mouse instead. I dislike touchpads and prefer to use a mouse on all of my laptops whenever possible.
