I was really happy to see that knoppix had a network share viewer similar to Network Neighborhood. However, what I'm not so happy about is how easy it is to access my windows machine network shares. Bacially, I can do an smbmount or smbclient and see or mount my network shares using ANY any password I choose? WTF, I only have one password for these shares yet I can just type anything and it allows me to connect? Anyone know why? TBH
