'modprobe ndiswrapper' cannot find ndiswrapper module

I've run 'ndiswrapper -i <driver>' and it appears when I use 'ndiswrapper -l'.

I ran 'depmod -a' which ran without error.

Now when I run 'modprobe ndiswrapper', I get an error message reading 'FATAL: ndiswrapper module not found.'

I'm using the tutorial at http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/Installation#Install_Windows_driver, but it doesn't tell me what to do if I get this error.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
