Hi folk,
I am new to and a bit of a babygeek when it comes to linux. For months I have been using Fedora C4 and ubuntu and trying to get my Epson stylus CX1500 MFP to work.
I have been told that knoppix has real good hardware install funconality. Is this true ?.

I have posted below a general postout of my problem and if you have encountered a similar problem with knoppix and solved it I would really like to know and will sign up with this distro as soon as.... :-)

Please reply if you have anything to offer , would really appreciate.

The system is a standard desktop PC with an Intel Coppermine 600MHz
P3
This Epson MFP runs well on the same setup with M$ 98se but I am crying blood trying to get it to run on Fedora C4.

Sane 1.0.17 backends installed
/etc/sane.d/epson.conf set
iscan installed

I may well have stuffed up fstab ,it's below along with anything else I thought would be useful.
If anyone can help me with this I would be sooooo grateful.I really hate having to go back to M$ to print a doc or scan something.I don't know much about Linux and I'm not even a baby geek but I'm willing to try if someone can give me a hand.
