You could save settings, data, and a swap file on the disc.
Edit: And if made an hdbased install with the cd-rw version, you'd have a 700MB distro, that does't need you to repartition.

But the distro is already 700MB where would you save data, swap file, etc?

I'm sure some packages could be cut, to make room for saving data, ones that aren't used often.
Oh, and you could install stuff to the disc.
Edit: Maybe just a small part, with out the swap file. Cookies, a small (10MB) place to save documnets, e-mail settings from the e-mail clients, shouldn't take up that much room.

if you make it on a cdrw youre saying that i can write to the cdrw without drivers? it will save drivers to the cdrw ?

^What does CD-RW drivers have to do with a CD-RW version.
Also, having it on a cd-rw, instead of a ramdisc would save memory on lower end comps.
