Getting knopix started

I got this old pc
239 ram
graphic card has 32 colors so it's ok
cpu x86 family 15 model 4 stepping 1
everything else ok
still when i run knoppix btw i got the old 3.4
after it auto do things i just get a black screen and thats it .... any help please?

you best bet is to try using the different hardware detection cheatcodes (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes),hope that helps, idk which one will solve your problem though, looks like you might be stuck w/ trial and error :?
