After installing 4.02 to the HDD of my HP dv8000 , dvd drive does not want to work. If I go into a filemanager, it will just freeze the system if there is a disk in it. The drive works fine under XP and I ran fine under the Knoppix live DVD.

Any clues?

solved me own problem with the dvd/cdrom player not working - turned off dma access!

Also the knoppix printer configuration tool worked perfect for IPP-based X PHaser7750...
