floppy copy

hi my question is, i want to copy a file from a floppy disc onto my harddisk using knoppix,i can see the contents of the hdd and also the floppy whilst knppix is running ,there is a xserver file on the floppy and i need to put it on my hdd,on my hdd is a debian install,im having graphic problems with debian and this is my reason for copying the file over,how do i do it,any ideas

i know how to copy now ,but i get access denied when i drag n drop the files to the hard disc,i have changed the read write access of the hard disc using knoppix,but it still gives access denied message,any ideas.
