Modem busy?

I configured my modem and the connection but when i connect it says modem is busy. No one is using the phone.

Always post as much info as you can, this helps in finding the cause of the problem. Which version of software, your hardware vendor and model. Learn to look at log files and find errors so people can understand what you are talking about. I personally have no modem.
