Firefox not working - booting to knoppix 5.0 CD

Is anyone else having this problem? I'm booting successfully to knoppix 5.0 CD and all looks fine.

When I try to type a URL into Firefox it won't let me. It acts like it's not taking any input from my keyboard.

I can't even delete the existing URL from the address bar.

If somebody knows a way around this I would appreciate it!!

i just completed a successful hd install of knoppix 5.0.1 and firefox won't accept any input from my keyboard either.

alas, i've decided to konquer. besides, firefox doesn't by default let you reject cookies.

any fixes though?
