Has there been any resolution to the Hightpoint IDE RAID chipset issue.
I use a Soyo Dragon Ultra Black and can not disinfect this machine of the winvirus till the RAID works.
I get a :
Ooops: 0000 [#1]
PREEMPT SMP
Modules linked in:
CPU
A whole slew of stuff from CPU registers and stack
Last line:
<0> Kernel Panic not syncing : Attempted to kill init
Knoppix DVD V5.0
Whats really annoying same knoppix on a ABIT with Highpoint RAID loads fine with the exception of an issue with a logitech wireless mouse that moves like its stuck in molasses (on screen wise :) ) Works fine on that box. The Soyo has the latest BIOS flash available from Soyo, and its no joy. URRGH!
Who needs to get this bug report Klaus, Linus/Kernel team, hpt372 module ? ??
Yes disabling the RAID allows it to boot, I am posting from it.
No I can't leave it this way, my HD's are a RAID array and they are staying that way even under Linux.
Constructiveresponses are greatly appreceiated. Thanks!
