Need help with Acer Travelmate 4060's wireless IPW2200

Hi, I'm new user of Linux and trying Knoppix 5.0.1.
However it could not detect my wireless card (IPW2200) on my laptop. iwconfig has result:
iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
sit0 no wireless extensions.

I followed the install instruction of ieee80211 and ipw2200 to compile the driver but in could not work.

Please help me with this case.

Maybe you want to try the latest Kanotix2006-01-RC3. It's similar to Knoppix and supports most WLAN cards including ipw2200, http://kanotix.com

ipw2200 works fine with my Acer Aspire laptop and Kanotix (2006-01-RC3 is the latest version, but it worked with the previous version Easter-RC4 as well).
