A problem while booting

ok im a little bat at english i hope u can unerstand me =P


the problem its while im trying to boot in knoppix, it try to get the dhcp for a network adapter, but it didn't found it and stops booting.


so plz can ne1 tell me what do i have to put on the command line to tell knoppix to not load the network adapter

it shouldn't fail to load just because the dhcp doesn't find your dhcp server
the card should be loaded with a blank or 169.254.x.y address

have you trouble-shot the nic in another machine ?

Knoppix can normally fail DHCP and still boot, so you may have some other problem. But the first thing to try if this is what you think the problem is would be to type at the boot prompt knoppix nodhcp
