Hi all: for a Pivot Root install of knoppix 5.0.1 on external USB/Firewire HD, I was confused by qtparted. Wanting detailed partitions as in Debian, I started three partitions as PRIMARY/ext3 with no problem. Then I looked for LOGICAL while only offered EXTENDED without filesystem. Help Thank you francesco pietra

All LOGICAL partitions are located inside a single EXTENDED partition (which don't have any filesystem).
So try to create a single EXTENDED partition first, which must be big enough so that all the LOGICAL partitions you will want to create will fit inside it.
After that create the LOGICAL partitions.
