5.0.1 - hdd partitions mounted on /media

My freshly burned 5.0.1 insists on mounting the hdd partitions on /media rather than /mnt. Only one has an ext2 partition on it but even if I remount it I cannot save configuration as it only offers floppy and the save desktop one says no partitions found.
