I have a 5.0.1 CD and downloaded the plugin from here (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer9.html) -Adobe Labs Downloads and scroll to Download Installer for Linux
The original macromedia flash 7 did not have sound, function or text (e.g, trippermap, miniclip game, flash settings) in firefox. Download this:
FP9_plugin_beta_101806.tar.gz
Then untar
tar -zxvf FP9_plugin_beta_101806.tar.gz
cd flash-player-plugin-9.0.21.55
In root copy/move libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins/
have fun :D
