Hi, i've recently put together a pc and tried to install windows which seems to ahve failed miserably, somethings wrong with the pc but i don't know what. I thought it was the hard disk and my friend told me one way to find out was to run knoppix to check the hardware as i don't need a hard disk drive. So i stick in the disc and its starts booting, then it reaches a point where it says: Accessing KNOPPIX CD at /dev/hdd
and then says: cdrom/KNOPPIX/modules/inserror: 1/0 error
then: Can't find KNOPPIX filesystem dropping to a (very limited) shell
What does this mean?
Take in note I'm a linux novice and don't know all the abbreviations for stuff.
Thank You

I suggest reading the full FAQ in answer #1 (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/User:Harry_Kuhman) and seeing if you followed all of the steps, including checking the ISO and burning slowly.
