booting stop at hot plug detection - plz help me

hi i have just downloaded knoppix v5.0.1 and burned it on a cd
i test it on my old computer and it works well although it is a bit slow (because my ram is only 128mb and cd drive 10x)
but when i try it on my new computer which is more powerful (p4 3.0ghz, ram 512mb, cd drive 52x ...), knoppix does not start
while knoppix is booting, it stops at "starting udev hot-plug hardware detection"
i have tried many cheatcodes (such as: failsafe, knoppix noudev ...) to solve this problem but in vain
it shows a log of several critical errors with numbers and codes that i do not understand

please help me to solve this problem

i have the same problem, I have tryied, all possible command but it still freezing when trying to discover hot plug device, i have an nvida getforce4 that i suspect is the culprit, but the command knppix no{udev} or no{enything} it don't work :evil: nor is no dma :x .
I have a brand new HP desktop P4 lots of memory and the latest devices, any hope to load knoppix 5?

I just tried Knop5 on an HP Pavillion 1100 w on-mobo graphics.
same prob: lockup at udev
tried noudev, nousb, fb1024x768
