Are there any tools to view/edit/change the services running in the default run level for knoppix 5?
Some distros have a runlevel editor, some use chkconfig and gentoo has its own commands.
Thanks in advance.

Check the KSysV entry in the System submenu.
Debian also has the command-line update-rc.d

Thank you, KsysV is good. However the main menu is in German. I have appended lang=uk to my grub menu.lst and kde is set to use english. Not sure why this particular item starts in German, but at least the programs services are not translated.

LANG=C sudo ksysv
