Hello all, I'm a somewhat a newbie to Linux but have tried many other LiveCD's. I found yours to have the most complete and easiest install for my needs. My needs!!!!! B4 you ask why I',m installing 5.0.1 on Virtual PC for Mac...I am testing the distro so i can put it on an old PC laptop for an aging relative....
First...I have been more successful using Lilo as the boot loader...how can I replace Grub with it??
Second....I config'd ALSA the sound "Sound Blaster 16" was configured. and I keep getting fatal cpu errors and the sound never worked.
I'm running it on an iMac G5 2.1gz Virtual PC 7.02
I have installed it as Multi-User and Debian..so I can play w/them to find the right configuration for the old laptop.
