knoppix looks terrible in IBM R60!!

Are there any graphic drivers that can improve the look of knoppix in my IBM R60 laptop??
Or is the resolution? Max resolution in my laptop is 640x800

Max resolution in windows OS shows 1024x768.......how come knoppix cant automatically adjust to this resolution???

The R60 may use a chipset combination that is not well supported in Linux. You can use a cheatcode to specify the type of graphics adaptor that is on your individual system. that would be either a Radeon/ATI or Intel Integrated Graphics. Look in the cheatcode section of the Documentation link st the top of the page for more information. http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes You can also attempt to specify a screen resolution at the same time.
