Hi all,

I have a need to rip down knoppix to a point and change some things and what not how ever all of my computers have ntfs drives in them and i really dont want to jack them up so i was wondering since now knoppix has ntfs write support could I remaster to a ntfs drive. I might be able to snag a hd from some one to use but i thought i would ask about this option first.

Best to get another hard drive where you don't mind risking the data. Then format it as a Linux filesystem so that file attributes etc work as they should. In a more general context, see also words of wisdom here http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/User:Harry_Kuhman (answer #6).
